01Scope

These Terms apply to all use of Match Note. Rules we publish for specific features, such as event entry, form part of these Terms.

02The Service

Match Note provides amateur tennis players, clubs and event organisers with:

• Scheduling: creating, joining and managing sessions;
• Scoring: recording match scores and generating match reports and share cards;
• Events: entries, draws, scoring and standings for round-robin, knockout and team events;
• Leaderboards and skill ratings calculated from match results;
• Personal records: play calendar, win rates, frequent partners and opponents, annual reports.

The Service is currently free. Any event entry fee is collected offline by the organiser; the Service only displays it and never handles payments.

03Your account

• You sign in with your WeChat account. One WeChat account corresponds to one Match Note account;
• Keep your WeChat account secure. Actions taken through your account are treated as your own;
• Do not impersonate others, and do not claim a player slot in an event that is not yours;
• Your nickname, avatar and bio must not break the law or infringe the rights of others.

04Accurate match data

Fair rankings and ratings depend on accurate results. When you record or confirm a result, you must ensure that:

• the match actually took place, with the correct players and scores;
• unfinished matches are recorded as unfinished, not as completed;
• wrong scores are corrected through a score-edit request, subject to organiser review.

You must not record fictitious matches, enter false scores on purpose, collude with others to inflate results or manipulate rankings, or submit bad-faith edit requests. Where we find such conduct, we may void the records concerned, recalculate rankings and ratings, restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account.

05Rankings and ratings

• Leaderboards and skill ratings are calculated automatically from match results, as described in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy;
• Ratings and rankings are for reference only. They are statistical estimates of your performance on the Service, are not certified by any official body, and are not guaranteed to match any other rating system;
• To maintain data quality, we may review suspicious data and correct or void match records, then recalculate rankings and ratings;
• We may improve the rating method, which may change your rating.

06Conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

• post unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, violent, spam or harassing content;
• disclose other people's contact details or personal information without consent;
• post false sessions or promote businesses unrelated to tennis;
• access or scrape the Service with crawlers, scripts or other automated means;
• interfere with the Service or attempt to bypass its security measures.

If you break these rules, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account.

07Your content

You or the original rights holders keep the rights to content you post, such as match reports, sessions and impression tags. To operate the Service, you grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content within the Service and to use it for leaderboards, event pages, match cards and posters.

Match results also involve your opponents and partners. To keep other players' records and rankings complete, completed match results are kept in anonymised form after you delete your profile or ask us to delete your account data.

08Sessions and offline play

• The Service is a tool for posting information and keeping records. We do not organise, take part in or guarantee any offline activity. Sessions and events are the responsibility of their organisers;
• Tennis carries a risk of injury. Take part within your physical limits and warm up properly. Personal injury or property loss arising from offline activities is borne by the responsible parties under the law;
• Court and entry fees are agreed and settled offline between participants and organisers;
• Take care of your personal safety and belongings when meeting new players.

09Intellectual property

The software, interface design, trademarks, logos and rating methods of the Service are our intellectual property. They may not be copied, modified, distributed or used commercially without our written permission.

10Changes, suspension and termination

• We may change, upgrade or retire features. We will give advance notice in the Mini Program of changes that significantly affect you;
• If the Service is interrupted by maintenance, network failure or force majeure, we will restore it as soon as possible;
• You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account data as described in Section 11 of the Privacy Policy.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: errors in data entered by users; disputes between users, or between users and organisers; losses arising from offline activities; or interruptions caused by third-party services such as WeChat or network operators. We remain liable under the law for losses caused by our intent or gross negligence.

12Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring proceedings before the competent people's court where Hangzhou Wapai Technology Co., Ltd. is domiciled.

We may update these Terms and will publish the new version on this page with its date. Material changes will be notified in the Mini Program. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
